About the Role​

Solar Signs is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Part-Time Seasonal Sign Installer to install, maintain, and remove solar-powered real estate signs throughout the Twin Cities metro. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, being outdoors, and wants flexible, seasonal income.

Compensation​

• $40 per install (includes future removal of the sign)

• 5–15 installs per week, depending on availability and demand

• Typical earnings range from $200–$1,000 per week

• Mileage is not reimbursed; compensation is structured at a higher per-install rate to account for vehicle use

Schedule & Work Structure​

• Seasonal position (March–October)

• Work is offered on an on-call basis

• Installer will be added to a text/email list where available installs are shared

• You may accept or decline installs based on your availability

• Most work occurs on weekday mornings, though timing can vary

• Signs and solar panels are picked up at the start of each route in Apple Valley, MN

Key Responsibilities​

• Install solar-powered real estate signs at residential properties

• Remove signs promptly once listings end

• Perform basic upkeep (battery checks, straightening signs, light checks)

• Transport signs safely and efficiently

• Communicate job completion clearly and reliably

• Represent Solar Signs professionally at all properties

Requirements​

• Must drive a pickup truck capable of transporting signs

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Ability to lift and carry signs and equipment

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently

• Smartphone for communication and navigation
